Cryptographic Strain‐Dependent Light Pattern Generators

چکیده
Refractive freeform components are becoming increasingly relevant for generating controlled patterns of light, because their capability to spatially-modulate optical signals with high efficiency and low background. However, the use these devices is still limited by difficulties in manufacturing macroscopic elements complex, 3-dimensional (3D) surface reliefs. Here, 3D-printed stretchable magic windows light refraction introduced. The shape and, consequently, texture achieved can be changed through device strain. Cryptographic demonstrated exemplary patterns, including micro-QR-codes, that correctly projected recognized upon strain gating while remaining cryptic as-produced devices. pattern micro-QR-codes also two coupled windows, one them acting as decryption key. Such novel, 3D tailored functionalities applications illumination design, smart labels, anti-counterfeiting systems, cryptographic communication.

Evolving Cryptographic Pseudorandom Number Generators
Random number generators (RNGs) play an important role in many real-world applications. Besides true hardware RNGs, one important class are deterministic random number generators. Such generators do not possess the unpredictability of true RNGs, but still have a widespread usage. For a deterministic RNG to be used in cryptography, it needs to fulfill a number of conditions related to the speed,...
متن کاملCryptographic random and pseudorandom data generators
This dissertation thesis deals with cryptographic random and pseudorandom data generators in mobile computing environments (such as mobile phones, personal digital assistants, cryptographic smartcards). These mobile devices are typically bounded by the amount of energy, performance, memory or even silicon area. This lack of resources leads to very limited computing environments with: a) limited...
متن کاملUsing Linear Congruential Generators for Cryptographic Purposes
We try to provide an alternative attitude toward the use of a Linear Congruential Generator (LCG here after) in generating pseudo-random numbers for some cryptographic purpose. In particular, we choose email encryption as our cryptographic application. Our encryption will be considered secure if the attacker cannot infer the pseudo-random numbers without knowing the parameters of the LCG. We im...
متن کاملLinear solutions for cryptographic nonlinear sequence generators
This letter shows that linear Cellular Automata based on rules 90/150 generate all the solutions of linear difference equations with binary constant coefficients. Some of these solutions are pseudo-random noise sequences with application in cryptography: the sequences generated by the class of shrinking generators. Consequently, this contribution shows that shrinking generators do not provide e...
متن کاملCellular Automata in Cryptographic Random Generators
Cryptographic schemes using one-dimensional, three-neighbor cellular automata as a primitive have been put forth since at least 1985. Early results showed good statistical pseudorandomness, and the simplicity of their construction made them a natural candidate for use in cryptographic applications. Since those early days of cellular automata, research in the field of cryptography has developed ...
